OROCHI

Once upon a time, there was a dragon called Yamatano Orochi. It's eyes were red like boiling blood and had eight heads and eight tails with the length of eight valleys and it's body was always soaked with blood. Every year, this monster took virgin from a village as a sacrifice. Samurai called SUSANO heard this strategy, then he made OROCHI to drink sake and while its sleeping, he slays its eight heads apart.
After 2000years, now it’s return four samurai.

OROCHI was formed in 2004 in Australia by the vocalist Ushiwaka and 5 other members, as every one of them was playing with different instrument from the Japanese traditional music - like koto, shamisen etc. In 2006 they record their first album named "OROCHI". They had won several awards in Australia and had given lots of interviews. Left alone in 2009 - 2010 vocalist Ushiwaka moved to Japan and again form the band with members Ushiwaka - vocal, Ranmaru - guitar, Yukimura - guitar and Genji Hotaru - drums. Later on bassist Mitsuhide also joined the band. They had taken their names from the ancient history of Japan and every name was a name of a samurai. In the end of 2010 Ranmaru left the band. March and April 2010 are successful for the band - they had made their first tour across Europe. In the same time they started to distribute their 2 new singles - "Castle in the sky" and "Sakura", and also their second album "Soul of prey", which include new songs and re-recorded songs from the first album. On 27th September 2011 Mitsuhide and Genji depart, leaving the band with only 2 members. August 2012 bassist Shin officially joined the band.
In the beginning of 2013 guitarist Yukimura announced his departure. The band was chosen with voting by the fans and made it's second European tour in March. The band played concerts in 9 different countries. On 6th May new mini-album "百花繚乱 HYAKKA RYORAN -A Hundred Flowers Blossom-" was set to be released, but it was available on band's European tour only for the fans from Europe.
